The Big Move.........

Okay, so this is my very first time blogging, so be patient with me and hopefully as time goes on my artistic blogging ability will begin to shine through, as it has for some of my fellow bloggers out there :)

So, where to start? We well as of now we have been in Denver 2 weeks. For the first week, until our furniture and cars arrived we all bunked out in TownPlace Suites. It was quite an adventure trying to find enough activities to fill the day so that the kids and I didn't have be cooped up in a tiny hotel room. However, we did survive and the day that our furniture arrived was a blessed day.

We are currently renting a wonderful home in the Ken Caryl (pronounced Carol), a suburb of Littleton Colorado. We are at, what they call the base of the foothills. Which I do have to say it is very beautiful to live at the base of the mountains. We have decided to rent for the next couple of years for a couple of reasons: Our home is for sale in West Linn, however, we just accepted an offer today and if all goes well we will be able to just start over soon. Please pray that all goes well in the department. The other reason for renting is that we just don't know if this move is going to be long term. With Charts career we just don't know if we will be moving again as he advances in the job market.

The home that we are renting is in a idyllic location neighborhood wise, in a great school district, with a highly rated elementary school within walking distance. The home itself is located at the end of a cult-de-sac and backs up to a green belt, with walking trails. Go on the trail to the left and we come to Shafer Elementary, where Kai will be next fall. Then, if you take the trail to the right we end up at the counties most popular sledding hill, or so I am told by all the locals. Also within walking distance is the community pool and various parks. Needless to say, we are so blessed to be in such a wonderful location.

Our new home is very much equip with wonderful amenities, which has very much occupied Kai, Malia, and Lyla for the last couple of weeks. With the sun always out, the temps up in the 60's and all the "toys" we now have, I rarely see them in the afternoon. We have been blessed with a play structure, trampoline, and basketball court. Not to mention a "toy" for mommy and daddy, a hot tub:) It seems that here in Colorado everyone just plays outside, I think that we are going to LOVE that change to our routine very much.

Here are some pics of the interior of our new home. Be aware that we do not have furniture quite yet, but are working on it. All of our old furniture now resides in the basement.

I hate to cut this off, but it is 12am here and I am fading fast. I have so much more to tell you all, about Chart's new job, Kai's new school, and on and on and on. I am praying that this will be a great way to keep all of you who are so dear to us, yet so far away informed with what our family is up to. So, stay tuned..........
